When I think back, for sure I was also question quite a lot…Fall in love with someone, who’s is totally stranger is always scaring,Isn’t it? Our friendship – honestly never was just a friendship, from the very first sight we knew – it is something unique. Our love story wasn’t beautiful fairytale from Disney movie, it was full of big feelings, full of life and unknown for what is coming up. It was very difficult and scaring, we both had some kind of personal things which made it even more crazy. Happily love wins always and it will happen if it meant to happen.

We all been seeing some sort of prejudice or judgements in our lifes, for sure. It’s true people have a lots of fears, bad experiences, racisms and all the different kind of negative thoughts or feelings about unknown cultures, sexualities, skin colors, religions, cities, and the list is endless. I understand when you really be careful and protective about someone you love, it is caring. But I don’t understand the away of thinking - judge the book from the outside and anything can change your opinion. Unfortunately men from North of Africa get very fast judged, criticized and they already have stamp in their face – terrorist, bad person, women beater, etc. What if you image your own brother, son or husband to be in their shoes - be judged already just by nationality. Media often show Tunisia in a very negative way, it really brings unnecessary fears in to our life’s –but it does make all the Tunisian men shit. No not at all. Also in daily gossips at your work, how often someone tell you true story about happy relationships. It is sad to say, but often negative gossips get more space in a coffee breaks, and stays in peoples mind.

Words never can describe how happy I am that I did follow my heart. And answer to few of the questions I have heard, I’m not going to wear burke. I don’t need to change my habits. He never ever would touch me in a disrespectful way. He is Tunisian, but Tunisian is very urban country with very open minded people. He does have, drinks beer; have piercing and is an dancer - very opposite habits what probably you can not image Arabic men do because of their religion. I really love the possibility of multicultural love, it is possible, it is right over here – Don’t judge the book before opening it up.

Ps. Soon I will write a post about Tunisia, I really think, it is time to open up a little bit of prejudice about this urban country Tunisia.

Love Sanna Karina
